Regarding Schlotterbeck's Situation
Niklas Schlotterbeck himself and his team are open to a transfer to Bayern Munich. However, as of now, Bayern has not taken any specific and substantive actions regarding the transfer of the German international. The reason for their inaction is that they are waiting for Dayot Upamecano to make a final decision on whether to renew his contract.
If Upamecano decides to renew with Bayern, Schlotterbeck's transfer to the club will become complicated and tricky.
Regarding Upamecano's Renewal Situation
Bayern Munich has offered Upamecano a renewal deal, but this is not the final offer.
If Upamecano still has the possibility of renewing his contract, and his agent proposes to discuss certain contract terms or expects a certain degree of salary increase, Bayern has expressed its willingness to reopen negotiations. Overall, Upamecano's total annual salary (including bonuses) may reach €20 million, while his current annual income is €16 million. It is evident that Bayern is making every effort to retain the defender.
Upamecano and his management team have submitted their demands to Bayern's sports management (led by Max Eberl). These demands include a signing bonus and some additional clauses. In principle, Upamecano can imagine staying at Bayern, but only if the relevant conditions meet his expectations. However, the player's representatives currently believe there is no need for further negotiations. This means Bayern has only two options: either accept Upamecano's demands or let him leave the club at the end of the season.
Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are prepared to meet Upamecano's requirements and sign him on a free transfer. However, within Bayern Munich, it is said that after the expensive renewals of players such as Alphonso Davies, Joshua Kimmich, and Jamal Musiala last spring, not all demands can be satisfied.
