Saudi Cash Tsunami Targets Lewandowski – Barça: Mega Offer = Green Light

أمير خالد الشماري

Saudi Arabian clubs are pulling out all the stops to sign veteran Robert Lewandowski, with Barcelona ready to let him leave if a massive transfer fee comes in.
Several Saudi teams have shown intense interest in Lewandowski this summer, even contacting his entourage to sound out his willingness to move to Saudi Arabia. However, his representatives say the player has no intention of leaving, as he and his family are well - settled in Barcelona and reluctant to uproot their lives.
Barça, though, is keeping an eye on the possibility of Lewandowski changing his mind. For one, Saudi clubs can offer him a staggering annual salary. With just one year left on his Barça contract, a move to Saudi could land him a lucrative three - or four - year deal. Cristiano Ronaldo already earns over €200 million a year in Saudi Arabia, and Lewandowski could secure a similarly eye - watering sum.
For another, the Saudi league’s appeal is growing, with its standard on the rise. Notably, Saudi’s summer transfer window closes on September 23, much later than La Liga’s September 1 deadline. So, if Lewandowski decides to chase the Saudi riches, he’ll need to inform Barça soon.
Barça manager Hansi Flick still values Lewandowski, but reducing his game time makes sense given his age. Moreover, Ferran Torres has impressed at center - forward, while Marcus Rashford and Dani Olmo can also fill in.
Barça would be happy to keep Lewandowski, but if Saudi clubs make him an offer too good to refuse—with a higher salary and longer contract than he has at Barça—they won’t stand in his way.
