In this round of the Premier League, Manchester United fought to a thrilling 4-4 draw with Bournemouth. After the game, Rúben Amorim gave an interview.

“We’re disappointed, very disappointed. It was a crazy game. It seemed like we dropped two points in the second half, but I think we already lost them in the first half. We controlled the game and created so many chances. We should have gone into half-time with a different scoreline.”

“We deserved more. For all the fans watching at home, it was an entertaining game.”

“Especially the fans at Old Trafford – they want to win, but they also want to be inspired by a team that plays good football. We did that at times.”

“We played well today, but we have to be more clinical because we created so many opportunities.”

“Lammers played really well. Both teams had chances. We created more. We have to find a way to see the game out, because this kind of situation has happened multiple times. It’s part of the process. We tried our best, but sometimes that’s not enough.”

“For all the fans watching at home, it was an entertaining game. I think we started really well. We played well in the first half.”

“The score should have been completely different. Then, in six minutes of the second half – similar to what happened against Forest – we lost concentration, and they scored two goals. But we managed to get back into the game, we scored two more goals, and after that we had to see the game out. It was just a throw-in when we had possession; we had to steady things, think about not taking more risks, stay calm and finish the game.”

“I saw the players’ effort, I saw the defense’s effort. In the final stages of the game, when you make it 4-3, I felt we would keep pressing and score another goal. We tried, but in the end it was a draw.”

“There are a lot of positives, but also a lot to improve on. Sometimes we lose out on the details. It’s not about playing with four, three or five defenders.”

“We need to work on the details, understand the momentum of the game, and we have to be more clinical. Again, today against a very good team, we created many chances to win the game, and we should have taken all three points.”
