Liverpool will host Brighton at Anfield in this round of the Premier League. Following a meeting with manager Arne Slot this morning local time, Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah will return to Liverpool's matchday squad.
Salah has been reinstated to Liverpool's squad and will travel with the team for Saturday's Premier League clash against Brighton at Anfield. According to informed sources, the Egyptian attacker's inclusion comes after he held positive talks with manager Arne Slot in Kirby today.

After making controversial comments following last weekend's game against Leeds United, Salah was omitted from the squad for the midweek Champions League away win over Inter Milan, casting doubt over his future at Anfield.

The decision was made by Slot, who firmly believes it is in the best interests of the team. After Saturday's match, Salah will leave the club to join the Egyptian national team for the Africa Cup of Nations. Liverpool considers this period of separation crucial for all parties involved to further resolve the current issues.

Earlier today, Slot said at a press conference: "I will talk to Salah this morning, and the outcome of the conversation will determine tomorrow's situation. I need to have a dialogue with him. The next time I talk about Mo, it should be with him, not here. You can keep trying to ask questions, but there really isn't much more to say.

“We have talked a lot over the past week. His agent has had multiple communications with us, our representatives have spoken to him many times, and I have also had several conversations with him—I will talk to him again today.”

When asked if Salah needed to apologize for his emotional remarks to be included in the squad against Brighton, Slot declined to comment.

When asked if he wanted the Egyptian attacker to stay at Liverpool, Slot said: “I have no reason not to want him to stay.”

After being left out of the squad for the third consecutive game, Salah claimed he had been "betrayed" by Liverpool and stated that his relationship with Slot had broken down. He also hinted that he might leave in January and said he planned to "say goodbye" to Liverpool fans before joining the Egyptian national team for the Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
