According to media reports, Marc-André ter Stegen has no intention of leaving Barcelona during the winter transfer window.
The report states: “Barcelona has a luxury squad at the goalkeeper position: Joan García, Marc-André ter Stegen, and Wojciech Szczęsny. Head coach Hansi Flick has clearly indicated that Joan García will be the team’s No.1 goalkeeper, so he will start in both La Liga and the Champions League.”
“As for which goalkeeper will play in the Copa del Rey, it remains unknown for now. Next week’s match in Guadalajara kicks off at 9 PM, and the suspense will be revealed then. With Ter Stegen recovering from a back injury,Reporter understands that the German goalkeeper has no plans to leave Barcelona in this winter transfer window.”
“He knows he will not play a main role at present, but at the same time, he believes that in case of emergencies, he is the next player to come on, and then he can show his strength. He realizes that not playing for Barcelona may complicate his participation in the World Cup with the German national team next summer, but he has signed a contract and has no intention of leaving, let alone on a loan deal.”
